- GH800 Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head (Supports 33 lbs.)
- Aluminum Arca-Swiss Quick Release Plate
- 1-Year Warranty
The Movo GH800 Gimbal Head can hold up cameras weighing over 30 lbs, making it perfect for any photography using large telephoto lenses. Separate locks control the 360° panning base and swinging arm, allowing a full range of motion ideal for covering sporting events, catching birds in flight, or any other fast-moving subjects.
The "gravity-balanced" gimbal head makes even the bulkiest camera and lens combos seem almost weightless. The Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release plate (included) is 120 mm long, providing ample support of most telephoto lenses. For extreme telephoto lenses, longer base plates can be easily substituted.
Large, lobed knobs are easy to operate even through gloves or in dark conditions, and numbered scales along the panning base and the vertical arm allow you to easily repeat your setup for various lens and camera combinations. The panning base and vertical arm capable of 360-degree rotation (horizontal and vertical). Additionally, the lens platform can be adjusted up or down by 4" to better accommodate different camera setups.

Excellent construction...simple fast reaction...great value!
I am pleased with the product so far. I have used it a time or too and am working on perfecting the balance so that my camera is most maneuverable.
Unlike the two earlier gimbal heads I have, this one is much smoother in terms of its ability to turn horizontally and vertically. It has performed well so far.
I like the weight of the gimbal due to the carbon fiber construction.
I would recommend this gimbal head without hesitation.
I recently bought the Movo GH800 and i was not disappointed at all, based on my 3 days outing so far it is smooth and durable , very competitive price and i believe it is worth money.
I purchased this gimbal for a trip to Panama, during which I hope to photograph some exotic birds. I am not a "birder" but a gimbal was recommended for this trip. It is now mounted on my monopod and appears to functionn exactly as represented. All functions operate smoothly, the camera and 400 mm lens balance easily and I am waiting for the temperatures to get above freezing so I can take the gimbal/monopod/camera combination outside and put it to a real-world test. So far I am completely satisfied with this purchase and especially with the customer support I received prior to my purchase answering the many basic questions I had about the gimbal and its compatibility with my Manfrotto monopod. I highly recommend both the product and Movo.
I bought this to install on my monopod. Works Amazing !
The Movo Gimbal Graphite Head I ordered came quick and I am very pleased with the functionality of the head and the size of the knobs for adjustment.
Arrived fast and was exactly what I was looking for with some of the longer lenses.
I purchased one of these gimbal heads approximately two years ago and have been extremely satisfied with the product. I recently went into the mountains in Utah and unfortunately the UTV 4-wheeler broken-down. I was forced to jettison some of the gear so I could complete the 3+ mile hike through deep snow before dark set in. I was unable to retrieve the gimbal head and tripod before leaving the state. Hopefully, I will one day be back in the area to retrieve the abandoned items. But, the return date is unknown. In the interim period, I am buying replacement items. Question: After having received such good service with the first gimbal head, why would I want to go with another brand? I go with proven products and service.
We have a lot of birds in Colorado, especially active in Feb and March. A couple weeks ago, I found myself at the side of a road with 8 eagles in a tree a couple hundred yards away. I had my camera and lens mounted on a pan head that was proving to a little tricky to keep on target. Next to me another shooter with a gimbal head, an EXPENSIVE outside my budget gimbal head!! Later, at home, I decided it was time to find one that suited my needs without laying out a king's ransom. After the usual searches via google and other online blogs, forums, etc, I narrowed my search to a number of heads in the $100-$200 range that had received favorable reviews. Soon I was down to two, the Movo carbon and another. However, the "other" was reported to need a disassembly to remove a lubricant that almost prevented simple maneuvering. I soon found myself on the Movo website looking at what would be my choice, the GH800. Three or four days later, it arrived and I immediately mounted the head on my tripod. My DSLR and 150-600 lens were soon mounted. I was pleased to see how easy it was to balance the camera in order to achieve minimal motion when I took my hands off. All the while, the head was smooth/fluid in both directions. I was more than pleased and look forward to putting it to the real test, BIF at a local lake. I can't see any reason why I won't be a totally satisfied customer. Highly recommended.
