Very happy with purchase. The gimbal head is top notch, solid, stable and perfect for birding. I also had a chance to interact with customer service and more than pleased with their responses. Overall a highly satisfied customer. I'll recommend this product for sure.
Arca type plate is very loose when used on other Arca compatible tripod heads, Fits perfectly and works on the the Movo GH700 Gimbal. Other than that it works great.
This is my first gimbal head. For the price I paid, I was concerned about its quality. I was wrong. It is well build and works as described on Movo's web site. I never realized how easy and successful bird photography with a 600mm lens could be, until I tired the Movo GH700 Professional Gimbal Tripod Head. The price is the best price for the product of this type. I am very satisfied and happy with my purchase.
Having recently purchased a "big" (150-600 mm zoom) I realized that my small ball tripod head wasn't going to cut it. I researched a lot of options. Many of the less expensive gimbal heads seemed to have issues with sticky lubricant and less than free swings. But not this one! It easily passes Steve Perry's "one finger" test and it only took a few minutes to perfectly balance my big lens. So far I've only used it on backyard birds but it makes sharp pictures so much easier than trying to hand hold. Looking forward to a July trip to the Gulf Coast where I can try it out on the gulls, pelicans, etc. A really good product and pretty much a steal at the price!
Solid, easy to use, affordable price. Couldn't ask for more.
Took it out day I received it, worked like charm with my Canon 400mm and 7D Mark ii ! Saved a minimum $300 and love it. Didn’t have to rework gimbal take it apart to get it to work. I did shoot a little WD 40 , very little in tilt knob for kicks. Thanks Movo.
Received my product over a week ago and finally found the time to set it up. It was easy to set up I only needed to make one adjustment to the height so that it did not creep up or down. Smooth action. This is the greatest thing I have ever purchased. I will never use a ball head again
This is my first purchase of a gimbal. I'm a hobbyist photographer and I've always shot with a ball head up until this purchase. My ball head failed on me. I was shooting with a 150-600mm lens and it just couldn't hold it steady. While talking to another wildlife photographer, she recommended a gimbal. So I searched around and found this one. It was the perfect match for me of features and price point. And the other reviews were good. So I bought it. Overall, I'm happy with it. The main swivel has some loose play in it, but I may be able to adjust that out. I've not tried doing that yet. If I can adjust that out, I will make this a five star review. For the price, I think this gimbal would be hard to beat!
This Gimbal moved smoothly out of the box, no play and adjusted to my lens, Sigma 150-600, and camera, Nikon D5600 with no issues. The long Acra-swiss mount plate that came with the gimbal was helpful with balancing this light camera and heavy lens. It's well made out of good materials. All in All a very good bargin!
The GH700 is a well built tripod lens mount. The only problem I have is mounting the head to a tripod. All of my tripods have 1/4" thread mounting bolts. Your Gimbal head has a 3/8" mounting bolt. Living in a small town, I cannot find an adapter unless I drive 30 miles! My new GH700 will have to sit here until I can find some sort of an adapter! Of course the GH700 comes on a weekend when no customer assistance is available !!?? It's hard to write a review when no one is around to read it ??
