Movo’s WebMic HD Pro Wins 2021 TWICE VIP Award for Best Computer & Gaming Camera

Last spring, we debuted our WebMic series—an array of products that we’ve been excited about for a long time. With 2020 in the rearview, we wanted to rethink how we were approaching video call technology and bring something new to the market. We put a lot of thought and effort into each product in the WebMic series, and so far, we’ve received amazing feedback from creators and professionals alike. 

That’s why we’re so excited to read that our WebMic HD Pro is the winner of the2021 Twice VIP Award forComputer & Gaming: Cameras. 

This award is especially meaningful coming from Twice, which has been a benchmark publication for those of us in electronic and tech manufacturing. Founded in 1987, Twice is an industry leader focused on electronics manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. Twice is one of the most trusted names in our business, and we’re grateful for their recognition of the WebMic HD Pro.

Last year, many of us were forced to transition into remote work and had to adapt to the many hours we were suddenly expected to spend on video calls. It was during this time that we first conceived the WebMic series. 

As our customers were navigating this increase in screen time, they were coming to us to try to navigate their tech needs. Throughout these conversations, many expressed frustrations. In order to improve their video and audio quality during video conferences, they had to invest in a webcam, microphone, and lighting system. 

That got us thinking, why not create a product that could kill the proverbialthree birds with one stone?

After careful consideration and development, in March 2021 we launched a Kickstarter campaign for our WebMic series. The WebMic HD Pro, which was honored with Twice’s VIP award, gives you everything you need to capture high-definition video and professional-grade audio. 

We must have been on to something, because the Kickstarter was fully funded within 2 hours thanks to a number of generous backers! While our primary goal was to create a webcam and microphone that would cover all the bases for your video conferencing needs, we also wanted to make sure that we could connect to all our customers, whatever their web video/audio needs.

The WebMic comes in five different models: Standard, HD, 4K, HD Pro, or 4K Pro. At its core, each model comes with a cardioid condenser microphone. After that, you can choose between a 1080p or 4K camera, as well as accompanying built-in ring lights. 

We are currently in the process of fulfilling our Kickstarter pre-orders, but we anticipate the WebMic series to be for sale anywhere you can currently find Movo products by the end of 2021.
