the turny things are stuck so i cant take it off to put on a boom arm but the quality is pretty good and better than my last mic especially for the price

Very impressed with this beauty.
finally it came and i'm so happy about this purchase! as always movo creates great microphones and this one is not exceptional. i have only two problems with this mic: 1. the switching pattern button that i can hear while recording so DO NOT switch it while recording, think what pattern you need and switch to it and than STAY with that pattern, 2. the headphone port: i couldn't hear myself while connecting my headphones unless i talked really close to the mic but it made distortion and you do not want that.
in general, as a college student who only starts her way in the podcasting field, i'm very pleased with this mic and i can't wait to record on it
the UM700 produces excellent voice fidelity ... especially for audio-book narration work and eLearning modules. However, the mic's headphone output jack cuts out periodically and often fluctuates in sound volume, and, possibly, feeds a sound-spike onto in-progress recordings. This sound-spike embeds a background noise which may cause flawed voice production.
Just recorded my first YouTube video and was completely blown away! As a photography instructor I've got to have audio quality that matches the quality of my images or it's a disjointed message. The UM700 is a great upgrade from the laptop and other mics I had tried. This is the 2nd Movo mic I've purchased and I highly recommend them to my students, friends, and anyone asking for advice.

Mic is fine but having trouble with Audacity app. for recording guitar & vocal.
I've had my MOVO mic only a few days and boy have I ever given it the workout. I absolutely love it!!! One of the best mics that I've ever used. When i was a radio dj, I would have died trying to get a mic as good as this. Excellence par non. It is the best. Great job.
I used this microphone for my latest YouTube video, and it delivers very great audio. What I did was I plugged the mic into my laptop, took a video from that laptop (while taking a video from my camera for the actual video) and then synced the audio from the computer into the camera in editing. This is a little time consuming, but it works great and the audio is amazing. A tip: use the microphone fairly close to your mouth, because the farther away you get, the more echoing you will get in your audio. I mainly use the cardioid pickup pattern, since it is the most directional and drowns out most background noise.
I highly recommend this microphone to anyone recording music, videos, podcasts, and anything else!

I recently got the UM700, and had an opportunity to test it in my work. The microphone not only looks amazing on the desk, but it sounds great. The cardio and stereo settings both sound great fro my podcasting, voiceovers and screencasts. The omni and bidirectional sound great as well. The best part is that the signal is very clean. Even on my glass desk, which can be a challenge for may mics, due to the vibrations from the computer and hard drives had no major buzz or hiss. VERY impressed, especially for the price!
