The Movo DoubleMic is proof that you can never have too much of a good thing. This dual-condenser shotgun microphone is capable of recording audio both in front and behind your camera. For mobile recording, the lightweight Rycote Lyre shock mount stabilizes the DoubleMic and minimizes noise from vibrations. I haven’t used the mic so I can’t comment on its sound qualities but I am disappointed that it is either weighted in an unbalanced fashion or the groove for the red plastic shock mount to grab it is too far to the rear, or the shock mount is defective because the mic is not level, it points downward. This might be the way it is designed to work but that is what I think of what I see at this point in its use.
It’s so nifty, I love the compact size and how crisp everything sounds. Only problem I have is the red holder being too tight, it feels like it’s going to break. Other than that, amazing.
We were able to record a radio quality podcast episode all on my phone . Sent the audio over . Easily edited it and got it right on the air. I love it !!

I recently got the double mic and it is a really smart and cool microphone. I have a cool app for my iPhone that lets me film from the front and back cameras at the same time, and this is a great compliment to that... perfect for client interviews. The doublemic is similar in size to the VXR10, but it comes with the better lyre-style shock mount. The sound on both sides of the mic is great. Highly recommended.
I just purchased the VXR10. I wish I had waited just a few more days. That’s when I discovered this.
Months ago, I bought a Deity V-Mic Duo 4 hoping I can use it on my point and shoot and my cell phone. Come time find, I cannot use it on my cell phone without some sort of adapter, which even with the adapter, it doesn't give me that double mic feature. Needless to day, I was floored when I found this double mic and it worked magnificently with both my point and shoot AND my cell phone without an adapter. Less expensive than the Deity and it does what the Deity doesn't. I'm floored at how awesome this mic is. I'm a noob YouTuber/vlogger and this mic literally does everything I need to. I do interviews from behind the camera and this mic is excellent for that. If I could've given this mic 6 stars, I absolutely would've. I'm going on a Movo shopping spree to what else I can find. Sorry for the long review.
It works fine as advertised. Why is the shock resistant holder painted in “screaming red”? It takes away from the professional look when I am filming and looks like a toy.
