To my fellow new and or seasoned motovloggers this is the best external mic you’re gonna find for mounting inside your helmet. I’ve tried other popular brands purple panda, powerdewise, cheap off brands etc all of them constantly had bad audio and or tons of peaking/ popping at any speeds over 45mph no matter how quiet the helmet was, where I placed the mics, with or without “dead cats” and or mic muffs aka wind socks. The best mics I found before the movo mic was old wired/ mic’s Samsung headphones but if the volume button was pressed from the check pads or my head then the audio would be muted. So now with these movo mics that’s a non issue and they’re also very small like really small, think like micro mics, and perfect for tucking up inside your helmet without any discomfort (without using the alligator clips). The goose neck is also a plus because you can adjust the mic position when needed and don’t have to tape it down so it doesn’t move on it’s own. If you bump it of course it moves but it’s easy to reposition with the helmet still on. You’re still going to get wind noise and at illegal highway speeds you will get the occasional peaking/ popping from the wind but it’s few and far in between. You’ll also have to find the sweet spot for your helmet to get the best audio but that’s with any external mic and helmet setup. The alligator clips are useless for mounting the mic inside a helmet because they’re too bulky like any alligator clip but if you need one for mounting to your shirt or similar they’re great. One of my two movo mics was poorly glued ie the base and tip were loose and pulling away from the goose neck, hence my 1 star deduction but a drop of crazy glue fixed it no problem. The foam wind sock pops off quiet easily as well but I use a dead cat over them anyway but I did also tape the foam down so it doesn’t pop off. So all in all they’re imo the external mic to buy for in helmet mics and motovlogging hands down.
