Large Diaphragm Multi-Pattern Studio XLR Condenser Mic | VSM-7 | Movo
I saw a review of this mic online and figured with this price I couldn't go wrong. I've been using several others over the years and found this to be a welcome addition to my arsenal. Some mics provide some unwanted boosts in presence frequencies or "dull" sound. This does neither. It sounds great, natural and, while it's got 3 possible pickup choices I only need the Cardioid. This won't disappoint.
Absolutely love this microphone and would highly recommend
Wonderful customer service. Everything works the way it's suppose to. I have also gotten 10% that's very nice. I am using it for my home studio & I am happy. I do own other mics AKG 420, RODE NT1 and VSM7 is good addition.
I purchased this microphone for COVID-19 era work-from-home video conferencing after watching the Obscure Mics video review on You Tube. The microphone sounds great, and works nicely with the MOVO microphone boom arm. I like the versatility of being able to select omnidirectional when I want to include the room sounds or switch to cartioid to reduce room noise as needed. I have the arm at its limit, though, and while the microphone will rotate arbitrarily in the shock mount to better point at my mouth, the pop-screen is fixed in place. Also, while the photos above (on the MOVO website) advertise that it has a "low-pass" filter, the microphone actually has a "high-pass" filter which the box calls a "low-cut" filter. The filter removes low frequencies.
