This product wasn’t clear that you must order the extensions for I phones they are an added expense before ordering this item , be prepared to spend an added cost and order your extensions or they will not work for I phones
Well worth the money for good sound.
I had my phone holder screwed to the tripod, so I used a rubber band to attach the mic to the phone holder. I was indoors about 6-7 feet away and speaking at about 90 degrees away from the mic. It recorded sound very well. No problems.
Why?
Seems well built, I will review again if the Lightning dongle I ordered works.

In the early stages of live streaming a church service we are using an iphone and the sound system in the sanctuary (which is not directly connected to the iphone). This microphone has vastly improved the sound quality for those watching online. There is no complicated set-up requirements on the phone - just plug in and use (with the lightning adapter). Thanks for such an easy, affordable fix!
Good sound and good quality. I recommende this mic. The only thing is I will talks about the adapter wire is short , Can you do long adapter wire.
I filmed a few hours at the golf driving range and the audio was great except for some occasional popping noise. It definitely sounds like some kind of electrical noise, almost like the sound you hear of you plug speakers into something while the volume is up. Not sure if it's due to the connection to my camera or if it's something wrong with the mic. But besides that I like the mic and I plan on continuing to use it unless the popping becomes a big problem
dead cat makes audio extremely muffled and without it the audio is cracking and obviously of bad quality.
