XLR Condenser Microphone

I wish it had a gain control, and a power on/off option built into it. It's a fantastic microphone though, I've very happy with the quality of the item!

I purchased this microphone to replace another brand that i was using to do voice overs. The mike uses phantom power, but does NOT require batteries.
The audio sounds fantastic. There was no hissing, or background noise so my noise reduction in my editor felt lonely.
I didn't use a pop-filter, but there were no pops just the same.
I have only used the XLR-to-XLR cord, but I have no doubt the XLR to TRS works great too.

After using the microphone for a few days, I can say that this definitely an excellent budget choice for entry into the XLR design. Because it comes with both cables, you don't need any additional equipment to run the microphone on a PC, just plug and play with the included USB adapter and the XLR to headphone plug. I think it's safe to say that this microphone would benefit from either an external sound card or phantom power to improve the audio quality. I feel like I have to have the system input volume up very high in order to pick up my voice and with one of the previously mentioned accessories, you could lower the input volume on the system end by driving the hardware a little more, which should provide an even better signal.

As far as included accessories are concerned, you get everything you need, right in the box ready too go. You get a pop filter, which is of great quality. Along with that, you get the shock mount which is very well designed, easy to get the microphone in with the clamming feature. The cords are a little loose so you won't want to be yanking on it or anything, but it's a microphone and you should be being careful from the start. The shock mount also easily attached to my boom arm.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase and experience with Movo. I will definitely consider looking for more products available that suit my potential needs.
